TRUSTED FACTORYFLOW

Invest in a scope you can verify.

Define the starting point, retained systems, cost components and evaluation criteria before scaling.

The starting point depends on your existing estate.

Discovery configurations help define incremental investment, not fixed-price packages or delivery-time promises.

01

Existing ERP/MES/WMS

Retain source systems and inventory ownership. Pilot WMS → WCS → fleet with results returned to source. Incremental scope covers mapping, execution, adapters and missing data preparation.

Acceptance point: Trace a source order through task/mission to one accepted WMS posting.

02

Manual warehouse operations

Start with identified receipts, locations, stock and handovers. Select WMS scope before robotics; data/scans and ownership are first outputs.

Acceptance point: Check observed counts, hold/release, discrepancies and ledger effects in the field.

03

Existing robots or cells

Assess the installed fleet/controller and programs. Bind missions/jobs to source work and identify gates and profile work to build or adapt.

Acceptance point: Test duplicate work, timeout, program mismatch and physical-outcome reconciliation.

04

Expand from one area/site

Use an accepted package as the template while separating site data and settings. Reassess load, networking, controllers and authority; do not copy every parameter blindly.

Acceptance point: Produce target configuration records, site tests and a separate go/no-go decision.

Define what is purchased and accepted.

Component How scope is defined Assessment output
Software Modules, sites, roles, environments and feature rights. Scope register and acceptance criteria.
Equipment/infrastructure Load, stations, models/options, networks, compute and storage. Design and selected configuration list.
Integration Data sources, mappings, contracts, adapters and bilateral tests. Interface records and cross-system reconciliation.
Operations Training, support, backup/restore, upgrades and incident ownership. Runbooks, authority and service conditions.

Assess lifecycle TCO, not initial price alone.

Compare equivalent scopes

Separate one-time discovery, data preparation, adapter and commissioning costs from recurring licenses/subscriptions, infrastructure, storage, support and upgrades. Vendor equipment/options and trust services have separate scopes; avoid double counting or omissions between alternatives.

Use the same evaluation period, volume and site count and state equipment-change/growth assumptions. Expected benefits need customer-validated baseline data. Savings, ROI and payback models need explicit assumptions reviewed against those records.

Benefits must relate to the selected bottleneck.

01

Comparable conditions

Compare periods with similar order mix and shifts and record volume changes and out-of-scope events.

02

Attribute improvement

Separate data, process, orchestration and equipment contributions rather than credit all change to software.

03

Retain evidence

Link KPI data to source tasks, scans, jobs or events so operations can inspect samples, not just aggregate charts.

Bring your current estate to discovery.

Prepare the priority workflow, systems, equipment, stations and current timing/discrepancy measures.

Discuss investment scope

Data for comparing alternatives on the same basis.

Collect demand by shift, waits, interventions, discrepancies and retained assets. Owners validate baselines before benefit modelling.
