TRUSTED FACTORYFLOW
One platform. Industry-specific operating contexts.
Assembly, machining and lot-managed warehousing: distinct records, blockers and measures for pilot scoping.
Assembly: the right kit in the right sequence.
CONTEXT
An item change alters component demand. Kits must follow BOM revisions and delivery sequence; a missing component can hold the kit despite high total stock.
Records to identify
Item/lot components, kit BOM, material calls, pick locations and line receiving points.
COORDINATION
MES supplies demand and BOM revisions; WMS verifies components and reservations; WCS organizes station-gated delivery. Warehouse verifies kits and scans handover; shortages remain explicit for replenishment or approved substitution.
Measure and test in the pilot
Kit completeness, sequence correctness, material-call response and shortage interventions.
One BOM family, picking area and station cluster. Test wrong BOM revisions, missing components, occupied destinations and partial handovers.
Machining: bind material supply to the exact job and program.
CONTEXT
A cell needs the correct blank and a program matching the production order. Material arrival is one milestone; correct program execution and accepted QC are subsequent production milestones.
Records to identify
Item/lot blanks, work orders, cell jobs, recipe/program references and QC results.
COORDINATION
Bind MES demand, supplied material and cell profiles. Compare approved recipes with controllers and check readiness/handshakes before start. Program results retain job identity; QC disposition precedes production feedback.
Measure and test in the pilot
Recipe-specific cycle time, material wait, cell wait, QC outcomes and stop causes.
One cell, blank family and controller profile. Test program mismatch, missing material, protective stops and unresolved jobs after reconnect.
Lot-managed warehousing: trace quality with actual quantity.
CONTEXT
One item can span released lots, QC holds and reservations for other orders. Short receipts or lot mismatches must remain visible for warehouse, quality and ERP decisions.
Records to identify
ASN/PO, GRN, lots/serials, UOM, locations, QC disposition and shipping documents.
COORDINATION
Record observed receipts and QC release decisions. WMS reads lot state and reservations under applicable rules; pick/delivery scans preserve lot and source-document links. Relocation retains quality state.
Measure and test in the pilot
Lot/location accuracy, dock-to-stock with QC separated, outbound lot mismatches and sample trace retrieval time.
One lot-managed item family and representative inbound/outbound flows. Test shortages, QC holds, wrong-lot scans and ERP reconciliation.
